After an old railing breaks and they fall into a drainage waterway, Lucero and Oliver struggle to get a handle on life outside the bunker they’ve lived in all their life. Back under the mountain, Keely, Oliver’s sister, navigates her newfound responsibility as the people’s angel.

Such a daunting and lonely job warps Keely’s perception of reality while she forms a small team to set off on a quest to the forbidden surface to find the missing duo. The outside world is deadly and beautiful, rife with new experiences. Will home be the same once they reunite and return?
